The Firefly 2 vaporizer is a unique convection portable and we've documented our first impressions of it from when we first got to test it back in August 2016 here. Feel free to ask any questions down in the comments.
The taste is great, the heat-up time is almost instant, and it takes very little technique to get satisfying vapor. The taste lasts all the way until the highest heat setting, and the vapor is always cool due to the cooling vaopr path.
After just one weekend, this little unit has vaulted itself to the portable I reach for first. With its instant heat up and great taste, this is an extremely solid, go-to portable vape!
The Firefly 2 is significantly smaller and lighter than its predecessor. The shell is die-cast magnesium alloy, so light I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't plastic. The style points on this unit are off the chart...classy for a vape!
2 Batteries, but...
It comes with two batteries, which is great but leads to me to my first, and only, complaint of my first weekend with it: there is no way to charge the proprietary batteries without them being inside the unit. The charger could use a slot to charge batteries externally.
I was impressed from the moment I got the box. Let's face it, if you're going to spend CAD$300+ on a piece of electronics, it should be exciting opening it up. All of the accessories are in their own labeled boxes!
