The SCS is designed with ease of use in mind. This grinder features a coarse grip, it will shred through stems with no issues and grinds smoother than other grinders. The SCS also features rare earth magnets which helps keep the lid secured to the grinder so it won’t open unless you want it to. Featuring a revolutionary tooth design that grinds in both directions, you’ll spend less time grinding to get “fluffed to perfection” material.

The Santa Cruz Shredder is made in the USA, constructed out of aerospace grade aluminum and manufactured using CNC technology. The grinders are anodized which creates a harder surface which is resistant to scratches, thread damage and tooth damage.
To ensure that your grinder will last longer, The Santa Cruz Shredder features a proprietary thread design, which helps reduce cross threading, will never get stuck closed and you’ll never get shreds of aluminum in your grind.

Hi Aaron, Really sorry about your experience with your Santa Cruz Shredder. With that said, please know that in the over 12 years that we have been in business, we have NEVER resold OLD, previously owned returned grinders, and we never will. I understand why you think this may be the case. We've seen this happen before, and we reported this issue to Santa Cruz. This was their response: ------------------ "Those are rack marks from the anodizing process where they are placed on prongs on racks to dry. Every anodized part has some cosmetic small marks. This in no way affects performance. Occasionally the rack marks can be larger than normal in which case we can change it out, although this rarely happens. CanadaShreds everything
Got jammed once but I put huge buds all around. It grinded perfectly but the 2nd and 3rd peice got stuck together after using a lot of force to grind. After all o biggie and love it a lot
