I came back to Planet of the Vapes because I had a problem with my ArGo last year and they fixed it and sent it back, hassle free. Besides the ArGo, I've also owned the No. 2 Portable Vape. The Lobo is my favorite so far. I loved my ArGo but the Lobo is so cleverly designed, it's my new favorite. For starters, I'm able to use 18650 batteries from other manufacturers. The battery life is perfect for a portable, maybe 7-8 sessions. AND the battery is contained with a threaded cap, so you can **** it and no hinges are going to break, rendering your vape useless. The dosing capsules are great for concentrate although I'd recommend using only a small amount, holding it to the side while vaping, and cleaning out any residue afterwards. The airflow and the draw are fantastic. Easily the best I've ever experienced in a dry herb vape. Eventually the mouthpiece will need to be cleaned, but that seems pretty easy to do as it can be disassembled in about 10 seconds without any tooling. The only potential weakness I see is the exposed slide on the mouthpiece. But two things here, 1, I'm unsure of the material, which appears hardy, but I don't want to test the limits of that. And 2, the device is bottom heavy, so I imagine most drops from a low height won't damage it. Other than all that, it heats up really fast and seems completely cool within 10 minutes or so. I'm a big fan of the concentrate pads and dosing capsules, although you can fit a bit more herb in the chamber without it. Aestheticaly she's a beaut, very sleek and modern design.

*disclosure - I won this from an online livestream by Jerry for POTV. This thing is a must have, in some form, in my opinion. I have a desktop for comparison, and this thing is providing an alternative experience with awesome results. Comparatively, this is a quicker trip to a good feeling, although because it's less material at the same time, it doesn't last as long. Having the additional dosing capsules are a "must have", in my opinion, but you can use it without and it works just as well, just more effort to clean the chamber. I'm not a big fan of the disc screens, as they are a pita to keep track of and they need to be cleaned pretty often. If you use the dosing capsules, it says you don't have to use the screen, but I keep it on because it still captures so much tiny material. The magnetic scoop... I love this thing, but I'm not sure how much I'd pay for it. I was using a 1/4 teaspoon for my scooping needs previously and it worked just fine. That being said, the design and magnetic base is a step of added utility and convenience I can't understate. I love having it as part of my setup, hands down. $20 for a scoop though? (if purchased individually) If you're looking to add convenience and a small touch of style, it's great. The magnet works great, but some of the capsules are less magnetic than others. This will pull 7 out of 9 capsules without issue. One capsule has zero magnetism and the other capsule, the lid doesn't hold and separates immediately from the capsule. The scoop isn't the problem at all, it's the capsules that aren't perfect. The extra capsules are a must have and I plan on adding more to have a handful of capsules soaking and another handful loaded for use to have a constant rotation. The manufacturing tolerances are pretty good in these, but out of the 9 I received, 3 of them are faulty in some way. As previously mentioned, 1 lid isn't magnetic at all, 1 is loose and won't hold at all and 1 is so tight, I need to pull out my pocket knife to pry off gently. That being said, I still use them and they work great, just not as convenient as the other 6. The capsule caddy or whatever is a 3D printed setup I think is pretty incredible, though I have a design change suggestion with the tightvac (not included in this kit but I already had one from my past desktop purchase from POTV). I suggest a way to be able to put the scoop in one of the capsule slots and put the *** tool in the middle hole, but they stick out almost an inch above so you can't put the lid on. My suggestion is to add enough clearance between the tightvac lid and base so you can keep it all together in the caddy and close the lid for a quick grab&go experience. I don't care about the concentrate pads all that much. I grow my own and have ****** and I can press for ****, so if I need a "concentrate pad", I gently press a pad of ****** and add the concentrate to the matted ******. If you only use solid concentrate, these work great as I did test them out with all 3. At 430°F, it vaped entirely without a mess and did the job. Simply **** the pad into some Iso afterwards to clean and go about your day, easy peasy. The grinder is great mid-tier grinder. If you have a 4 piece grinder already, this probably won't be an upgrade, but if you need a grinder or only have a 2 piece, this is just as good as any other 4 piece metal grinder, overall. It's a little more narrow, but it's taller and has a deeper ****** catcher than other ones I own. Mini bubbler - I know I want to try the gordito now, but I can say this mini curved works, but it could be better. Jerry said they have mini's now with 3 holes instead of 2. I received one with 2 holes and I believe the 3rd hole would improve the draw on this or the gordito that comes standard with 3 holes and a larger water chamber to smooth the draws a bit more. I will keep and continue to use the mini, but I want to add a gordito to see if it improves the experience. I think I want at least 3 or 4 bubblers because the way they design these to separate the h2o from the electricity is an intricate stacking of glass tubes. that also means more glass surfaces to clean, that you cannot access with anything other than fluid, so soaking in submerssion. those surfaces get gunked up within a dose or 3 and needs to be cleaned fairly regularly, so having extras might be a good idea, though that can add up quickly. The keychain capsule holder is great for on-the-go, and there's nothing to say here. It's exactly as advertised and adds another layer of ease and convenience. I keep mine attached and ready. Extra battery - for me, 100% mandatory. I can get 4-5 6 minute sessions with one battery while the other one is charging in an external charger (sold separately). 18650 batteries are fairly easy to buy. Make sure you check all the volts and amps to make sure you get enough output for the higher temps. I'm not that tech savvy where batteries are concerned, but I can say at least one backup is all but mandatory since there isn't pass-thru charging on the lobo. The snap iso swabs are really just unnecessary on almost every level. They are convenient, but the fact I keep iso/swabs around 365 24/7 for everything else, these aren't a real necessity. If I just wanted to have a stick sitting in the caddy for on-the-go cleaning, I suppose, and I'll use them to not let them go to waste, but I think that convenience isn't necessary, for me at least. The Lobo itself - 45 - 60 seconds and a small vibration and I'm hitting solid hits that hit home quickly. For such small capsules, you get a lot in return. It's efficient, cooks evenly and gets it all done in 6 minutes unless I get caught up and forget. I do not like the included dimple tip, but it works and the vapor is cooled down, just a lot more direct, ie., harsh and compared to the curved mini or my personal favorite, the globe bubbler I purchased separately, also the added Lobo attachment for attaching to your other glassware, this is my favorite setup, the dimple tip isn't that great. It is great for stealth though, and I think that was the main design choice. The lobo is small enough to fit in my hand entirely hidden if looking at the back of my hand and the dimple tip maintains that low profile. as opposed to the curved mini, that is clearly visible. So if stealth is your primary concern and don't mind slow sips at a lower temp, you're still getting good results, just a little less pleasurable. I don't mind the display, but I think it would be better on the side somewhere because, I use this thing almost 75% of the time, upside down... Knowing that's a feature (upside down) they wanted to include with the glass adaptor, you think they'd have considered seeing the screen when it's used this way, unless you lift the entire rig or pull the lobo off between draws. I use the carb from the seperate globe and not the lobo itself, so I think it would be much handier to move the display to the side, even the narrow sides would be better, IMO. My overall impression is this - I now know I need a mobile unit that's convenient and easy. Sitting at my desk isn't always an option nor is my desktop easily mobile, so having this has improved so much. Going outside to hangout in nature to enjoy all of nature, inhaling more nature is natural... I will continue to own mobile units like this from now on and this is the perfect pricepoint to get started with everything you need in a kit for mobility. I would personally do a price comparison between the kit that substitutes the curved mini with the globe bubbler and adapter and this. I would purchase the best price to product setup that did the following - a gordito or curved mini, the desktop globe with Lobo glass adapter, extra battery and capsules, the scoop as part of a kit, keychain and capsule caddy for the tightvac. I would purchase some extra disc screens and you'd golden.

So I got in contact with customer service because my lobo had started having some issues and I thought maybe I could get it sent in to get it fixed or maybe they could give me some advice to fix it. Instead after explaining what was happening to customer service they immediately went through the process of getting me a new one! I got my brand new lobo 3 days later. Fastest easiest best customer service I've ever been through.

Just received my Lobo this morning, must say I was very skeptical,for people who are looking for a DHV the draw is very good doesn't make your nose bleed trying to draw on it,really like that,and for me I like really big hits and this does that,with the water bubbler on top,it's great,the dosing capsules really work well,and keeps the bowl very clean,I really like it
