Cut to the chase - which should I get?

Get the Venty if you’re looking for flavorful vapor that is truly effortless. Sessions with its wide-open airflow are as easy and relaxing as breathing. Easy-going sips are soothing, while fat rips are fast and potent. Plus, it’s got the fastest heat-up time: 20 seconds compared to the Lobo’s 40. And if you want to tweak your session settings, the Venty has access to Storz & Bickel’s Bluetooth app.

Get the POTV Lobo if you want affordable, potent sessions that hit like a truck and are customizable with glass accessories. Vapor is strong and dense from the very first pull and lasts all the way to the very end of your session. Its signature Glass Adapter grants you access to our glass ecosystem, where you can tailor your sessions with glass stems, mini bubblers, and water pipe adapters. It has a removable battery for nearly endless sessions and comes in at a fraction of the cost of the Venty.

Venty vs Lobo: Quick Summary

Similarities

These vaporizers are cloud machines. They both sport hybrid heaters that blend conduction and convection heating for dense, thorough extractions. Clouds are dense and flavorful, and the effects from both of these vaporizers are potent. The Lobo is more pocketable, but they’re both designed for travel or at-home usage and charge via USB-C.

Differences

The biggest difference here is the price: $214.95 (POTV Lobo) vs. $569 (Venty). For nearly a third of the price, the POTV Lobo produces top-shelf vapor, comes with a removable battery, and has access to our variety of glass accessories. However, the Venty comes with some heavy-hitting features. Its airflow is unlike anything we’ve seen in a portable vape. It’s like taking a breath of fresh air, and it’s adjustable. Connect it to Storz & Bickel’s Bluetooth app for further customizations like Superboost adjustments, haptic feedback, screen brightness, and more.

Both have robust vapor using hybrid heating systems

The Venty and POTV Lobo produce decadent vapor through a hybrid blend of conduction and convection heating. This balanced mix creates better vapor than standard conduction heating with a thorough extraction and thick clouds that are dense and rich in flavor.

These portable dry herb vaporizers offer unique experiences. Compared to the Venty, each draw from the Lobo is a little slower and calculated. The airflow is a bit restrictive, so inhales take longer, but the flavor and clouds are present from the start as it travels through an all glass vapor path. It’ll perform whether you're a slow sipper or a heavy hitter.

The Venty’s airflow is on another level. Its wide-open airflow setting is so relaxed and natural that it almost feels like an easy breath of fresh air. A slow sip captures dense vapor with very little effort and exhales into a satisfying cloud, while long, heavy hits are full-bodied. It’s pretty impressive.

It takes a hit or two to get the vapor production rolling with the Venty, but when it does, it flows heavily. Flavor is so apparent on those first few hits, though. It really showcases the rich profiles of your herbal blends.

The Venty’s airflow is superior and adjustable

The Venty’s airflow is a game changer. With the slider set all the way open, draw resistance is virtually nonexistent - like a breath of fresh air. It’s soothing and relaxing, but then it punches you with rich, flavorful vapor. You can also use the slider to tighten it down if you like a tighter pull. If that’s the case, the Lobo may be a better fit, which I'd say pulls like notch #1 on the Venty’s airflow slider.

The POTV Lobo pairs with POTV Glass Accessories

The POTV Lobo is an attractive choice for its POTV Glass compatibility. Our dry stems offer discreet cooling with effective results, while our mini bubblers offer tabletop-quality cooling in a bite-sized package. If you want to maximize the Lobo’s potential, pick up the POTV Water Pipe Adapter to push it to its limits through your favorite tabletop bubbler.

With a variety of glass pieces to choose from, you can truly vape how you want. Plus, we offer a wide selection of colored-glass options to truly make your sessions unique.

The Venty heats up twice as fast

As a session-style vaporizer, the Venty showcases one of the fastest heat-up times on the market, with a 20-second heat-up time - Venty means 20 in Italian! That’s twice as fast as the Lobo at 40 seconds, three times as fast as the Mighty+ at 60 seconds, and four times as fast as the Crafty+ at 80 seconds.

So, comparatively, the Venty is blazing fast, but the Lobo performs respectably at 40 seconds. Heat-up times will also vary depending on where you’re at in your session. For example, cold starts take the longest, while the following heat-ups are quicker when the heater is already warmed up.

Venty: 20 seconds to heat up
POTV Lobo: 40 seconds to heat up

The Venty has a bigger bowl

The Venty vapes through more herbs at a time, with a 0.3g capacity versus the Lobo’s 0.2g. They both perform well with smaller doses if you’re a lighter user, but the Venty is the winner for serious appetites.

POTV Lobo: .2g oven capacity

Both have precise temperature control features

These vapes are extremely user-friendly and require very little know-how to get going. They both come with a single power button and two temperature control buttons for precise adjustments and relay temperature info and battery levels on an easy-to-read display.

The Venty has better battery life…

With dual 18650 lithium-ion batteries, the Venty pumps out the most sessions per charge versus the Lobo: 12 vs 10. Your mileage will vary depending on the type of user you are, but the heaviest vaporists will get further with the Venty, especially with its adjustable, wide-open airflow slider. However, the POTV Lobo comes with a removable battery…

But the POTV Lobo has a removable battery

The POTV Lobo makes up for fewer sessions per charge (10 vs 12) with a user-replaceable 18650 battery that can skip ahead of the charge times with a quick and easy swap. With a few charged batteries at the ready, you could essentially have limitless sessions with minimal downtime. Just unscrew the battery lid on the bottom, insert a fresh battery, and you’re right back in the game.

Both have USB-C charging

Whenever it’s time to charge, both the Venty and POTV Lobo come with USB-C charge ports to fuel up. The Lobo takes around 90 minutes to fully charge, while the Venty takes around a couple of hours. However, we highly recommend the USB-C Supercharger for the Venty to speed up the charge times to under an hour.

The POTV Lobo is more pocketable, discreet, and a bit more stylish

Both vapes are portable and travel well, but the Lobo is more compact. It fits easier inside a pant pocket or smaller purse and is nearly 100 grams lighter than the Venty. It can get a little clunky depending on what glass mouthpiece you’re sporting, so keep that in mind, but the Lobo fits snugly in the palm of your hand and doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb.

The Venty is much taller and can slip inside some pockets and purses. It’s not the most comfortable travel vape, but it’s a step in the right direction for Storz & Bickel.

The POTV Lobo is also great for the more fashion-conscious users. It sports an anodized aluminum shell with a sleek matte finish that’s stylish and durable and comes in either Black, Blue, or Green.

The Venty connects to the Storz & Bickel app

The Venty allows for some session-specific customizations through Storz & Bickel’s web app. Here you can adjust the temperature, tweak the Superboost intervals, turn the haptic feedback on or off, and even adjust the brightness, update the firmware, or factory reset it. It’s not required to maximize your Venty, but some users swear by it.

The POTV Lobo is easier to clean and maintain

Cleaning and maintenance are a breeze with the POTV Lobo. Deep cleanings only require a brief soak of the glass accessory and screen and a wipe-down of the oven. The Venty takes a few more steps. You’ll need to remove and then disassemble the cooling unit, remove its o-rings, and soak the cooling unit before reassembling it. Wipe down the oven and that’s it.

Venty vs POTV Lobo Vaporizer Comparison Cleaning and Maintenance

The POTV Lobo is more budget-friendly

The POTV Lobo dry herb vaporizer sits at a fraction of the cost of the Venty: $214.95 versus $569. That’s a significant difference.

What do you miss out on if the Venty is outside your budget? The Venty’s biggest selling points include unmatched airflow with adjustability, a much quicker heat-up time, a larger oven, and Storz & Bickel’s signature vapor quality. It’s easy to use and efficient, and it could very well be the only portable vape you need.

For nearly $300 less, the POTV Lobo can skip charge times with a user-replaceable battery, access our catalog of glass accessories, and pump out dense, tasty vapor from the very first draw. It’s highly customizable, fits easily inside a pocket or purse, and packs some style as well.

Warranties: Try the Lobo risk-free for 100 days

The POTV Lobo comes with a 2-year warranty plus an extended 100-day satisfaction guarantee. Try it out, get to know it, and if you don't like it, return it within 100 days for a full refund.

When you pick up the Venty, you’re covered by a 2-year warranty that’s extendable to 3 years when you register it with Storz & Bickel. You're also covered by our 14-day Satisfaction Guarantee when you purchase with us.
